How to put ribbons on your pointe shoes ?

PUT RIBBONS

I M P O R T A N T

You should only put ribbons on your pointe shoes once you are ABSOLUTELY sure they are those you will keep for dancing.
They must be the right size, the right color for your teacher, ...
Once ribbons have been sewn, no way to give them back to the shop !!!

The Installation of the Ribbons is irreversible, do not forget it :-)

How to

To fold the heel, then seize the two ends of the folded heel.

The ribbon must be bent on the level of the folding between the two heels

Audrey's Tip : To know if the ribbon is well placed, cross the ribbon in front and if on the level of the seam the ribbon is not stuck has the skin, it may be necessary the forward it a little.

Then, it remains you to tie the ribbons.
Cross in front, pass behing and pass by again in front, make a knot.
Then pass by again behind and make two knots then cut a very small end of ribbon, I said a very small end ; -).
